FAQs

When do you drop items?

I will try to have online drops once a month, but will always post on social media when we have a date. The number of items will range from drop to drop depending on the amount of work I complete.

Where will the items be available for purchase once dropped?

Drops will take place on my website www.sheltonstevens.com

How can we stay in the loop on when items drop?

I will post it and update everything to all our social media accounts. Products can sell out pretty fast, so make sure you are ready beforehand. Follow our social media accounts and sign up for the newsletter to be in the know about new releases and early access.

How are orders shipped?

I ship via USPS and UPS and tracking numbers should always be sent when your order is mailed. If you didn’t get a tracking number, feel free to reach out! Orders ship within 3-5 business days of purchase.

Do you accept returns?

I do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations, but always want to make sure the customer is 100% happy so please contact me if you have any problems with your order.

If an order is to be returned for some particular reason, the customer will be responsible for return shipping costs.

What happens if my piece arrives damaged?

I carefully package each item so that it arrives to you in perfect condition, but because of the natural fragile state of pottery and the handling of shipping services, on occasion something may be damaged. Please contact me and take as many photos of the damaged box as well as the pottery as you can. Then send everything to sinteredbyshelton@gmail.com.

Claims received more than 5 days passed the delivery date WILL NOT be eligible for refund or replacement.

Do you offer custom orders or reserves?

At this time, we cannot accommodate requests for custom orders. We try to have a variety in our monthly restocks of wares in different sizes and glazes.

Is your products dishwasher safe?

Yes, all my pieces are dishwasher safe, but I highly recommended hand washing just to be safe. If you do decide to dish wash anything, I recommend washing on the top rack. Dishwashers can be very abrasive and hand washing is recommended to extend the life of your mug and to keep the glaze color vibrant.

Is your pottery microwave safe?

Yes, my pieces are microwave safe (unless identified and specified otherwise in listings,). I do not recommend freezing or placing them directly over a flame or stovetop. Pottery will act similar to glass, if you take it from extreme cold to extreme heat, it is likely to crack.

How do you price your pottery?

First and foremost you must remember that every piece is 100% handmade which is why every single piece is unique. Things we consider when pricing are the following: clay prices, electricity costs to fire the kiln, glaze prices, time spent on the wheel, time spent making the piece, shipping costs, and other things along the supply chain.
